While you do not have to operate or work for a business in the area in order to participate, those who do will have the opportunity to also represent their region and the interests of business in that region to Council if they desire.

The Harbourside Chamber Group was born as an alliance of the Chambers of Commerce and other business organisations in the area, with a view to maximising benefits for members and minimising administration layers. We hold regular events for the purposes of networking, education and training, business development and marketing. We are guided by a committee of volunteers and our administration is undertaken by Concept Events. Our ability to pay our way comes from membership fees, fundraising and lots of work from dedicated volunteers.

There are several divisions of The Harbourside Chamber Group - North Sydney, Neutral Bay, Cammeray and Crows Nest. The opportunity exists to get more involved with local groups at these levels if you so choose - or to start up a new division for your own area.
